Oil cleanser wit OAT kernel oil / STEP ONE
Cleansing your face is the first and basic step in your skin care routine. If this step is not done properly in our routine, it will show on our skin in the long run and this process will affect the effectiveness of the active ingredients.
Our skin is a perfectly composed system that provides primary protection against the external environment. For this reason, we have a great responsibility in how we care for our skin to ensure that this protective function can reach its full potential.
An important pillar of the skin's protective function and mechanism is the pH level, which is created and maintained by an external acid mantle on the skin's surface (a pH of around 5-5.5 is necessary for the well-being of the skin's natural flora). However, if our skin does not receive the necessary care from us (air pollution, temperature fluctuations and chemicals (aggressive surfactants), this perfectly functioning system can easily be disturbed. The principle of fine-tuning applies here as well. Thorough cleansing is therefore necessary, but it is worthwhile to use gentle cleansing elements which do not damage the emulsion on the skin surface.
The first step of the double facial cleanser rids your skin of excess sebum, makeup, and sunscreen, followed by a second step of a final facial cleanser that softens and hydrates your skin with the soothing surfactant blend.
The first step of the almost double facial cleansing is the micellar water, which effectively removes impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day, while thoroughly removing makeup and sunscreen residue. The oil phase is dominated by zabag and castor oils with a touch of vitamin E. The former oil is rich in ceramides that nourish the skin (especially important for those with sensitive skin), while castor oil is a viscous oil that dissolves pigments and oily formulations well, making cleansing easier. Both oils have a soothing effect on the skin and help to cleanse it thoroughly.
The aqueous phase contains a blend of sugar surfactants that gently but thoroughly cleanses. Unlike aggressive surfactants, which clean well but degrade over time and dry out the skin through water loss, it even has a moisturising effect. One of its main ingredients is a biolipid called glyceryl oleate. The skin of a fetus in the womb, vernix caseosa, or fetal membranes, are the most wonderful, perfect natural emulsion that contains everything a newborn's skin could need. The amniotic fluid contains 1,1 ug/ml of glyceryl monooleate.
This biolipid is one of the ingredients in our gently cleansing yet nourishing and moisturising surfactant.
How to use: Use it as the first step of your facial cleansing routine and then rinse with water, or use our water-based gel facial cleanser as a second step.
